The construction of a 7000m³ reservoir.

A new reservoir was built adjacent to an existing reservoir, which was demolished on completion.

Excavation was carried out to a depth of approx 5.5m and included 2200m3 of reinforced concrete, 4800m2 of formwork and 400t of reinforcement.

The height of the tank walls were 6m high and the roof was supported by 16 x 500mm dia columns. Two submarine doors were built into the side of the reservoir for access instead of roof hatches.

The contract was carried out as part of a five year framework agreement between the client and Mott MacDonald Bentley Ltd.
